Orlando Zoo’s newest baby bear is named “Ruthie”

Orlando Zoo is excited to introduce a new baby bear, which has been named “Sasha.”

The zoo said in a news release Monday that Sasha will be a “perfect addition to the Zoo family.”

Orlando Zoo says that the new bear, nicknamed “Rothie,” will be able to live to be 11 years old.

The Zoo has had a bear since the 1950s, but it’s only been known by name since 2016.

The new bear has a small belly and will be around 6 feet tall and weigh about 160 pounds.

Sasha was born to Zoo staff member Mary Ann Dolan and Zoo curator Nancy Smith.

The bear will be named “Sam” and will begin his life at the Zoo.

It will also become the Zoo’s official mascot, and will also get his own Facebook page.

The zoo says that it has also begun a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for Sasha’s new “family.”

The bear’s name will be released to the public soon.
