Zoo officials said on Friday they will be holding the event at the zoo on June 10 and will honor the zoo’s late founder and director, who passed away in 2018.
Zoos are honoring late animals in different ways around the country, and the Minnesota Zoo will be doing something special this year.
The Minneapolis Zoo will hold its annual celebration on June 5, and officials are asking that guests come dressed in their zoo attire.
The zoo has held several “celebration parties” in recent years, including last year.
