(Published Tuesday, March 25, 2018) The Big Bang theory and “The Big Bitch” have had the best ratings for seasons 1-3 on CBS, and their second and third seasons have been the most-watched in CBS history, according to Nielsen.
In 2018, the network’s freshman season was the top-rated of all time, with 1.7 million viewers and a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49.
“The Simpsons” was next with 1 million viewers, followed by “Family Guy,” “Scandal,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Arrested Development.”
The numbers were all up by 20% and 30%, respectively, from the same period last year.
The “Big Bang” and the “Big Bitch,” both from the original series, have also been the top two most-popular shows on TV.
“Big bang theory” was the second-most-wanted TV show last year, behind only “The Walking Dead,” according to an ABC News poll released Monday.
CBS is one of a few networks that has made significant moves since the network announced the renewal of “The Amazing Race.”
CBS also recently renewed the “NCIS,” which has been renewed for a fifth season.
The network is set to debut a new show, “The Originals,” on CBS All Access in October.
